The Collections
The CVPA Visual Resources Library is maintained by the School
of Art and Art History for its faculty and students. Its primary purpose
is to support the teaching and research needs of the faculty. Visual formats
collected by the library include slides, digital images, videotapes, CD-ROMS,
and Laser Discs. The Library also maintains a small collection of books
and periodicals. The contents of the collections reflect the teaching interests
of the faculty with emphasis on western art from the Medieval to the 20th
Century. Non-western areas of emphasis include Asian, Islamic, Native American,
and traditional and contemporary African art.
